Cheminement de l’information

Le site Internet New York State Services ITS Architecture³⁵⁹, dont la plus récente mise à jour date du 31 décembre 2008, présente des renseignements sur l’ensemble des systèmes de transport intelligents de l’État de New York, et ce, notamment sur le service d’information au voyageurs 511NY (site Internet et système RVI) lequel est en grande partie alimenté par l’intermédiaire de l’Information Exchange Network. C’est sur cette base que le service 511NY a été lancé au cours de l’année 2009 et c’est en partie sur cette base que le développement du service a été planifié.

Étant donné que ce site Internet présente de nombreux graphiques illustrant le cheminement des divers types d’information (circulation routière, travaux routiers, incidents, etc.), depuis leur sour-ce jusqu’à leur diffusion par l’entremise du servisour-ce 511NY, quelques exemples sont présentés dans les prochaines pages et à l’annexe VIII.

Ainsi, la figure suivante illustre le cheminement de données sur la circulation routière et les tra-vaux routiers provenant du NYSDOT Office of Transportation Maintenance et des Regional Traffic Operations Center (RTOC). Elle permet de constater que l’information transite par l’intermédiaire de l’Information Exchange Network.
