Topics

This Symposium aims to bring together scientists and food industry managers who are currently working on different aspects of modelling for simulation and optimisation of the quality of foods and the productivity of processes.

All topics regarding predictive microbiology will be considered.

Important recent trends include the growth/no growth inter- face, microbial interactions, food structure and quantitative risk assessment.

More generally, the symposium is open to any integrated modelling approach combining models originating from food engineering and predictive microbiology.

The Conference is being planned as a serie of symposia on selected topics, composed of invited and contributed lectures as well as poster presentations.

European Doctoral Meeting on Food, Agriculture, Environnement & Development in Economics, Business & Social Sciences

L’objectif de cette manifestation est de promouvoir les échan- ges scientifiques entre doctorants européens en sciences sociales dans les domaines de l’agriculture, de l’agroalimen- taire, de l’environnement, des ressources naturelles et du développement et de permettre aux jeunes chercheurs de pré- senter leurs travaux de thèse à la communauté académique et aux employeurs potentiels. Il s’agira de confronter les différen- tes approches méthodologiques et théoriques mobilisées ainsi que les résultats obtenus par les doctorants, dans chacun des champs d’application mentionnés ci-dessus. Cette manifesta- tion est un forum d’échanges scientifiques entre jeunes cher- cheurs, enseignants et chercheurs confirmés qui devrait permettre aux doctorants de situer leurs travaux dans le pay- sage de la recherche française et européenne.

This symposium will cover all aspects of the chemistry, bioche- mistry, biology, technology and environment of carbohydrates, polysaccharides and glycoconjugates.
