The summary of the study

The researcher sought, in this study entitled: « constructing a program to ensure the Psychological therapy to cope with HIV (SIDA) infectin », to make a program based ,mainly in its content, on a number of theories upon which some effective therapeutic methods were proved and provided in the field of Psychological treatment that is related to other mental disorders, among which there are: cognitive therapy, group therapy, relaxation therapy, reality therapy, entertainment therapy therapeutic recreation), religious therapy.

However, she has relied on some techniques that were used in the therapeutic methods’circumstances and may serve the subject of the study with its variables that are:

conformity (compatibility), optimism, psychological equilibirium. in order to improve the

level of these features among the category of members coping with AIDS virus.

The researcher, also, tried to emphasize the effectiveness of this program from which the Subject problematic was formulated as follows:

- Can we construct a program to prove a special psychological therapy for persons living and coping with AIDS (HIV). a program that depends basically on some therapeutic methods, like: the cognitive, the group, relaxation, reality, entertainment, religious therapies. and that aimed mainly to restore conformity, and the psychological stability for the patient ,encouraging him / her to be

optimistic ?

- Is it possible to prove this program effectiveness in reality and inside hospitals?

According to all that, many hypotheses for the study were made as the following:

• We can construct a psychological therapy program for the persons effected and Coping with HIV (SIDA), relies in its basic themes on some psychological therapies as: the cognitive therapy, the group therapy, relaxation, reality therapy, entertainment , and religious therapies. In which the main goal is to reform conformity , and the psychological stability of the patient , urging him /her to feel optimistic .

• This program ensures its effectiveness in re-constructing

conformity, and the psychological equilibirium for the effected

members who cope with HIV, Increasing their optimism even inside hospitals.

While the fragmentation of this hypothesis has shown the following partial hypotheses:

_ there are statistically significant differences between the scores of the three groups on the conformity scale before and after the program application.

_ there are statistically significant differences between the scores of the three groups on the scale of Optimism and Pessimism before and after the application of the program.

_ there are statistically significant differences between the scores of the three groups on the Paroxysmal equilibirium scale before and after the application of the program.

The program was verified through the application of three standards that concern the variables of the study, which are: conformity scale to (ZINAB SHAGIR), optimism and pessimism scale to (SCHEIER and CARVER); and Paroxysmal equilibirium scale to (ADEL MOHAMAD MAHMOUD EL- ADEL). And after accounting the psychometric characteristics of these measurements by reference to (SPSS.17) program, and ensuring its sincerity and persistence, they have been adopted in the study; and applied on a selected sample chosen in a deliberate manner; as it consisted of persons with positive serum (HIV-positive), and AIDS patients (who showed symptoms of the disease). They were numbered (30) members of a genuine population that reached (44) persons Coping with the virus, and visiting the department of the infectious diseases hospital « DOCTOR DHARBAN- EL DJISER AL ABIYAD previousely » in the city of ‘ANNABA-ALGERIA’ for treatment .their ages were between (30 to 55 years old) .the study population was divided into 03 groups; under the adoption of the experimental method ;using the (one group) way for it is the appropriate approach to the subject of the study. The results were the following:

In the first part of the study, the the rapeutic undertaken program

was designed ,and its content was determined through the selection of

some therapeutic methods that are commonly employed in Psychotherapy

because the researcher Saw its possibility to realize positive results and

make a positive change on the study variables (conformity, optimism,

paroxysmal equilibirium) in order to strengthen the psychological side of

the person coping with the AIDS virus, Especially when he / she receives

care from his / her surrounding .the summaries of the meetings indicated

that the sample of the study was responded with the content of the

program, and its tenors were realizes.

Therefore, it was possibly judged that this program has become a reliable structure in carring about this category inside hospitals.

In the second part, the study evaluated the effectiveness of the program, proceeding the Duo-evaluation strategy that means appreciation in two phases.

the first estimate (pre-evaluation) that was conducted before the implementation of the designed program .the second estimate (post- evaluation) after the implementation period of the program content .with the help of the standards used in the study to obtain these estimates.

The results of the second hypothesis, after its fragmentation into partial hypotheses, and after the application of (T test) to study the differences between averages indicated that:

1 / the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the first group on conformity scale before and after the application of the program.

While the hypothesis was not materialized with the second and the third groups for their findings shew the absence of these differences in the mean scores of the two groups members.

So, the program designed for this category gets the effectiveness to improve conformity feature before and after its application .that was demonstrated through the improvement of conformity feature grades among the elements of the three groups; as well as; through the differences between the mean scores of the first group, despite the fact that the elements of the three groups are compatible from the outset.

2/ the existence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the third group on the scale of optimism and pessimism before and after the application of the program, at a time when it did not materialize this hypothesis with the first and the second groups.

The improvement made in the grades of members coping with the AIDS virus on this scale indicated that the trait of optimism has improved after their submission to the content of the program .also, their registration to relatively High degrees on this scale emphasized optimism, especially with groups one and two.

3/ lack of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the first, the second and the third group on the scale of paroxysmal equilibirium before and after the application of the program. So, this hypothesis is Unrealized with the three groups.

Nevertheless, members of the groups recorded an improvement of

the level of degrees in this feature after the introduction of the

experimental element as it knew a significant increase among them after

the application of the program.

So, they are emotionally balanced before implementing the program, and their balance increased clearly after its application. And this was what has been indicated by their improving grades on this attribute.

It can be said that the second hypothesis has been successfully

achieved, which states that: « this program aquires effectiveness in re-

building conformity, and Achieving psychological stability among

people coping with the AIDS virus, and encouraging them to be

optimistic inside hospitals ». because the three groups are compatible,

optimistic, and emotionally balanced, both before applying the

therapeutic undertaken program, this is thanks to the role played by the

medical and the psychological team that is responsible for this category

after the shock of a direct infection with the virus. Or after the

application of the therapeutic undertaken program content specifically

designed to deal with these features and try to improve them.
