AMENDMENT PROPOSED BY THE DELEGATION OP THE UNION OP SOOTH APRICA TO THE RESOLUTION RECOMMENDED

BY THE INTERDI COMMISSION (A/9, page 5)

In the Provisional Agenda for the Assembly, the Interim Commission included a recommendation ( 1 2 . 3 . 3 . 5 . 3 ) . In the report of its Preparatory Meeting (A/9, page 5 ) , the Interim Commission replaced its previous recommendation Ъу a draft resolution for the consideration of the Assembly.

The delegation of the Union of South Africa now proposes that paragraph " ( 4 ) " of the draft resolution be deleted and replaced by the following:

"that the Executive Board be authorised to undertake these negotiations and to implement a programme in agreement with the appropriate authorities:"
