The Albanian delegation has taken note of documents A / A Р Д and A/AF/Ь- RevД which contain suggestions for developing a scale of contributions for members of the World Health Organization0

The Albanian delegation considers that the percentage proposed for Albania does not correspond with the state and possibilities of this country; mainly for the following reasons :

1 ; Albania is a small country with a population numbering barely 1,125;000 inhabitants.

2 . Albania is a country which has suffered very severe war damage resulting from the war against the fascist aggressors.

3 . Au compared with that of other countries numbering a larger population and which have not suffered any war damage, the percentage proposed for Albania seems out of proportion.

The Albanian delegation would therefore be grateful i f you would suggest to the Counidttfee ou ¿¿hmLui&U-afcion and Finance that

the proposed percentage of 0.04 for Albania be reduced tfco 0 . 0 2 .
