AFR/RC10/R1: 1959 – 1960 The Regional Committee,

Having examined the report of the Regional Director1 on the work during the period 1 July 1959 to 31 March 1960,

1. EXPRESSES its warm appreciation of the report;

2. STRESSES, after studying the report, the necessity for the governments of the Region to develop environmental sanitation projects in their respective countries;

3. STRESSES the primary necessity for closer co-ordination and co-operation between the Member States and Associate Members of the Region in the health fields;

4. HEARTILY CONGRATULATES the Regional Director and his staff on the substantial results already obtained and the progress achieved in the period under review.
