Brucellosis . The delegation of Mexico proposed that a world centre for brucellosis should be established by the WHO at one of the scien- tific institutes which already is carrying out research on this disease. This proposal was areconded by the delegation of France ana' Italy.
Medical Supplies Bureau. The delegation of Bulgaria and of Czechoslovakia proposed that a medical supplies bureau should be set up by the WHO. This proposal was seconded by the delegation of Egypt and Poland. The Committee on Programme decided to refer this question to the Executive Board for study.

The Committee on Programme has accepted the draft Résolu- tions submitted by the Delegations of the Philippines and of the . United States of America, as well as the amendment proposed during
the session by the Delegation of Eirej concerning the appointment to posts in the Secretariat of one or more persons duly qualified in public health instruction.

Working Paper
In order to facilitate consideration of the proposals made by the Committee on Programme, the Secretariat has prepared the accompanying- working paper.
According to the definitions suggested by the Interim Commission (IC)at i t s fifth session,
Category (a), in additon to an expert committee, would provide for a central staff as a section of the Secretariat,
Category (b), in addition to an expert committee,
would provide for a;central-staff within the Secretariat, Category (c) would provide for a central staff
consisting.of a minimum of one medical officer, one research assistant and one stenographer,
Category (d) would provide for a central staff consisting of a minimum of one medical officer and one stenographer,
Category (e) would not provide for any special staff.
