Il est important d’améliorer la compréhension et la sensibilisation, et l’on peut noter à cet égard des réglementations internationales, dont les récentes Directives sur la gestion des cyber-risques maritimes de l’Organisation maritime internationale (OMI), ainsi que les meilleures pratiques, orientations et QRUPHVIRUPXOÆHVSDUOHVHFWHXUSRXUOXWWHUHIƄFDFHPHQW contre les vulnérabilités et les menaces associées.

Pendant la période écoulée, des faits nouveaux concernant la réglementation internationale sont survenus, notamment l’entrée en vigueur de la Convention internationale de 2004 pour le contrôle et la gestion des eaux de ballast et sédiments des navires, le 8 septembre 2017, et de la Convention de 2007 sur le travail dans la pêche (no 188) de l’Organisation internationale du Travail, le 16 novembre 2017.

Autre évolution importante pour la santé humaine et l’environnement, le Comité de la protection du milieu marin de l’OMI a adopté une résolution dans laquelle il a décidé que le plafond mondial de 0,50 % m/m (masse par masse) de la teneur en soufre du fuel-oil utilisé par les navires s’appliquerait à partir du 1er janvier 2020.
