Visualization, automation enhance efficiency of Thermo’s Galileo LIMS for ADME/Tox Experiments Thermo Electron Corporation announces the avai- lability of Galileo LIMS™ v 3.1, providing addi- tional functionality to increase efficiency in the demanding high-throughput environment of in vitro ADME/Tox discovery laboratories.
Highlights of the latest release of this unique labo- ratory information management system (LIMS) include:
• automatic results flagging, using a three-color system to indicate acceptance, rejection or flagging of results;
• rapid study entry to accelerate the entry of concentration or raw data from analytical instru- ment into the LIMS;
• the addition of “IC50 shift” – a new experiment type to elucidate enzyme inactivation;
• and support for PAMPA permeability studies that are important in early screening of compounds.
In addition, Galileo now interfaces with more analy- tical instruments, including a bi-directional digital interface to Xcalibur™ v 1.4 and 2.0, the controlling software for Thermo’s line of mass spectrometers.

In this manner, the complete applied nucleic acid and viral dose gets concentrated on the cells wi- thin a few minutes so that 100% of the cells get in contact with a significant vector dose. La synthèse peptidique sur phase solide est une méthode longue qui s’effectue habituellement à température ambiante. De récentes recherches ont démontré que l’utilisation de l’énergie micro- ondes permettait d’introduire dans la réaction une quantité plus importante d’énergie, tout en lais- sant à l’utilisateur la possibilité de contrôler la température.
Ce nouveau domaine d’application des micro- ondes fait du LibertyTMun système original et révo-
