Energy/Environment Models and GIS : MARKAL-Geneva goes GIS!

DIN, Allan, et al.

Abstract

This paper describes the principles guiding the development of a "hard link" between a Geographical Information System (GIS) and an activity model of the energy/environment system (MARKAL-Geneva). This development is part of the implementation of a Decision Support System (DSS) for air quality management in an urban environment, called AIDAIR, using the Geneva canton as a test case.
