Revolving Fund for Publications (Working Paper)
1 . Printing nf TOO Publications for Sale
In order to be in a position to meet any demand which may arise for the purchase of one or more of the WHO publications at present marketed through the United Nations Sales Organizations, it is necessary to Ъе able to print additional copies if required.
As the sale of a publication may be very heavy; it is desirable to meet the cost of printing these additional copies without affecting the annual budget. The simplest and most effective method of doing this is to make the proceeds of sale directly f-ailable for the cost of additional printings
The Interim Commission, at its fourth session, approved the establishment of a revolving fund for publications. This fund is constituted from proceeds of subscriptions and sales of WHO publications, including vaccination certificate booklets; and
is used exclusively for the purpose of financing the cost of printing additional copies nf YfiiO publications required to meet demand. A
The pr blem will not change at the end of the Interim Commission, In fact, the increasing volume of sales makes it more desirable than ever to continue the use of a revolving fund.
The Committee on Administration and Finance may, therefore, wrsh to consider a resolution somewhat as follows:
