12Д.7 Other Activities (Off. Rec. WHO, 10, page 10)
DOCUMENT SUBMITTED BY THE POLISH DELEGATION
COMMITTEE ON PROGRAMME Stomatology and Dental Hygiene Hygiene and Bacteriology Laboratories In view of the importance to all countries
(1) of the organization of stomatology and dental hygiene services: and
(2) of hygiene and bacteriology laboratories,
the Polish Delegation proposes to supplement the list of items in the document "Other Activities" by adding these two.
A study of the possibility of establishing close co-operation between the hygiene laboratories of different countries would be of great interest, and such co-operation would be helpful not merely with a view to the study of questions of international importance, but also for the exchange of personnel and equipment for study, of biological preparations, vaccines, bacterial cultures as well as for specialization in certain kinds of study and types of production.
With regard to the dental service, this is still much neglected in many countries, although it has been proved that infection of dental origin often causes rheumatism, heart disease, malnutrition

and a large number of other diseases and infirmities-. / Finally, it might be well to recommend that the Executive Board should consider the possibility of establishing an individual heâlth booklet containing the entire medical history of each
. person from birth to old age, Such a document would facilitate the prescription of'any medical care the person might require, his choice of a profession and the medical appraisal of invalidity , caused by an accident. All young children, school children and workmen, in fact, already possess a special booklet, which is unfortunately not carried further, -This booklet might with advantage be replaced by one single booklet covering the whole span of the person's life,
