1 – Throwing the dice ^{30 mins}

The lass isdivided in groupsof four orve.Eah group isgiven a set of die.

Step 1 : Eah student throws a die ten times, builds a frequeny table and draws a

relative frequeny polygon, with sale 2 mfor 1 on the

Step 2 : Eahstudentthrowsadieahundredtimes,buildsaseondfrequenytableand

draws a relative frequeny polygon on the same graph as step 1, with a dierent

olor.

Step 3 : Inside eah group, results are gathered to build a third frequeny table and

draw athird relativefrequeny polygon, still onthe same but using a third olor.

Step 4 : In the whole lass, results are gathered to build a fourth frequeny table and

draw afourth relative frequeny polygon, still onthe same but usinga third olor.

2 – More throws 15 mins

Results are given for samples of 10 000 throws and 50 000 throws. Eah student must

then draw two new frequeny polygons onthe same graph.
