9.3 Conclusion

En bref, l'amélioration et la validation du système de suivi des populations mis en place pour le lynx est une priorité et, d'ici là, les mesures réglementaires de gestion devront grossièrement être ajustées aux caractéristiques intrinsèques des populations de lynx (fluctuations cycliques). Graduellement, des connaissances supplémen-taires sur la densité, l'habitat et la dynamique des populations aideront à raffiner ces mesures réglementaires de même que le suivi des populations et la protection adéquate des habitats essentiels.
