R é s u m é : Les paramètres du procédé ainsi que les matériaux em- ployés sont déterminants pour la qualité des revêtements obtenus par projection thermique appliquée à* la protection contre la corrosion et l'usure des pièces m é t a l l i q u e s .
Pour obtenir les critères de classification concernant le pou- voir a d h é r e n t , on a étudié la structure du plasma et de la f l a m m e . Les matériaux étudiés se composent d ' o x y d e s , de carbones et d'alliages N i - C r .
A b s t r a c t : The q u a l i t y of t h e r m a l l y s p r a y e d c o a t i n g s for c o r r o - sion and w e a r p r o t e c t i o n of m e t a l l i c c o m p o n e n t s d e p e n d s on t h e p r o c e s s p a r a m e t e r s and of c o u r s e on t h e c o a t i n g m a t e r i a l s e m - p l o y e d . The m i c r o s t r u c t u r e of p l a s m a and f l a m e s p r a y e d c e r a m i c and a l l o y c o a t i n g s is i n v e s t i g a t e d to obtain a s s e s s m e n t c r i t e r i a for c o a t i n g s t r u c t u r e , a d h e s i v e b o n d i n g , d e n s e n e s s and h a r d n e s s . The i n v e s t i g a t e d m a t e r i a l s c o n s i s t e d of o x i d e s , c a r b i d e s and N i - C r a l l o y s .
Introducti o n : W i t h i n t h e broad field of s u r f a c e t e c h n o l o g y , thermal s p r a y i n g t e c h n i q u e s are b e c o m i n g i n c r e a s i n g l y i m p o r t a n t for t h e p r o - t e c t i o n of m e t a l l i c c o m p o n e n t s a g a i n s t w e a r and c o r r o s i o n . In t h e past y e a r s a large number of c e r a m i c and alloy based m a t e r i a l s have b e c o m e a v a i l a b l e . They are g e n e r a l l y d e p o s i t e d t h r o u g h plasma and f l a m e s p r a y i n g t e c h n i q u e s for t h e p r o t e c t i o n of c e r a m i c as well as m e t a l l i c s u b s t r a t e s of h i g h l y s t r e s s e d l a r g e - s c a l e c o m p o n e n t s / 1 - 3 / . T h e scope of this study w a s to i n v e s t i g a t e the s u i t a b i l i t y of a s e r i e s of c o m - plex c e r a m i c and a l l o y m a t e r i a l s coated u n d e r i n d u s t r i a l c o n d i t i o n s on steel w o r k - p i e c e s (St 3 7 ) .
