Abstract :The study aims to describe the formative evaluation in lesson ofphysical education and sportsin high school and the differently practices taken by the professor to explain the objectives and the announcement of the success criteria, also the methods used to gather information about the learning process and how to interpret and using them in organizing and directing the process of learning among students. To examine the objectives of the research,a sample of secondary school teachers are selected, and specially questionnaire used to information’scollecton the practice formative assessment being done by professors in sport and physical education lesson, according to the teaching material curriculum and Learning pedagogy.The results indicate that the professors are applying formative assessment intermittently during the various stages of physical education lesson, professors usually regulated learning through feedback, by reference to differently indicators of success and competence standards, and professors often used self evaluation and evaluation by peers.More than half of the sample are not doing the assessment during the performance of situations, and those who are doing so, focusing on explanation and correction of errors.
