Hilton Cubitt married Elsi, a young Amerian

lady.SheisAmerian,andbeforethewedding,she

asked her husband-to-be to promise her never to

All is well until Elsie reeived a letter from

the USA, that obviouslyupsets her, asshe threws

the letter in the re. A few days letter, pitures

of daning men appear repeatedly, sometimes on

piees of paper, sometimes halked onawall, ora

door oreven a windowsill.

Cubitt alls the famous London detetive,

Sherlok Holmes. Holmes tells Cubitt that he
