COMMITTFE ON RELATIONS
i
Paper submitted by the Delegation of the ! nited Kingdom
The relations of the World Health Organization and the Food and ..
Agriculture Organization on certain.subjects appear to the delegation of the United Kingdom to be so close that a specially integrated method of joint working appears to be desirable. The delegation assumes that there will be close relation between the secretariats and that expert
committees on such questions as nutrition, rural hygiene, and diseases common to man and animals will cover the fields of both organizations.
But for these special joint fields they feel that joint consultation of persons with administrative experience and responsibility is
necessary. They suggest therefore that a joint committee of members of the executive boards of the two organizations and that joint expert committees on the subjects of common interest should be appointed by the first-mentioned joint committee and that the reports pf expert committees so appointed should be considered by the joint committee (of members of executive boards) before they are considered by the two parent bodies »
