p r e m i e r t y p e s o n t a s s o c i e e s a une i n t e r a c t i o n d i p d l e - d i p 6 l e ti longue p o r t e e . Nous avons t r o u v e une e q u a t i o n i n t e g r a l e s i m p l e q u i t i e n t compte d ' u n e t e l l e i n t e r a c t i o n . Pour un f i l m d ' e p a i s s e u r c o n s t a n t e , l a s o l u t i o n de c e t t e e q u a t i o n correspond a l ' o n d e de surface-dont l a l o i de d i s p e r s i o n non ana- l y t l q u e p a r r a p p o r t au v e c t e u r d'onde k , c o n t i e n t un terme p r o p o r t i o n n e l

L o r s q u ' u n c r e u x e x i s t e dans l e f i l m , c e t t e e q u a t i o n a des s o l u t i o n s l o c a l i s e e s , correspondant ti des v i b r a t i o n s l o c a l i s e e s de l a p o l a r i s a t i o n . L ' e x t e n s i o n s p a t i a l e de l ' e t a t l o c a l i s e p e u t @ t r e considerablement p l u s f a i b l e que l a t a i l l e du c r e u x . Les frequences des v i b r a t i o n s l o c a l i s e e s forment une s u i t e e q u i d i s t a n t e .
Les resonances l o c a l i s e e s du second t y p e a p p a r a i s s e n t l o r s q u ' o n t i e n t compte de l a d i s p e r s i o n s p a t i a l e dans l e f i l m . Les frequences de ces resonances l o - c a l i s e e s s o n t f o n c t i o n du p r o f i l d u f i l m e t f o r m e n t une s u i t e e q u i d i s t a n t e s i l e f i l m p r e s e n t e une bosse d o n t l e p r o f i l p e u t 6 t r e r e p r e s e n t 6 p a r une f o n c t i o n Gaussienne.
La recherche des resonances l o c a l i s e e s a i n s i p r e d i t e s semble P t r e d ' i m p o r - t a n c e dans l ' e t u d e des phenomenes o p t i q u e s de s u r f a c e .
A b s t r a c t - We have p r e d i c t e d new t y p e s o f l o c a l resonances i n a t h i n rough f i l m on a s u b s t r a t e . The l o c a l resonances o f t h e f i r s t t y p e a r e connected w i t h a long-range d i p o l e - d i p o l e i n t e r a c t i o n . We have d e r i v e d a s i m p l e i n t e - g r a l e q u a t i o n which has i n c l u d e d such an i n t e r a c t i o n . F o r t h e f i l m o f cons- t a n t t h i c k n e s s t h e s o l u t i o n o f t h e e q u a t i o n c o r r e ~ p o n d s ~ t o t h e s u r f a c e wave whose d i z o e r s i o n l a w i s n o n a n a l y t i c i n t h e wave v e c t o r k and c o n t a i n s t h e t e r m 2. 1 ~ 1 . I n t h e case when t h e r e i s a d i p i n t h e f i l m t h e e q u a t i o n has l o c a l s o l u t i o n s which correspond t o t h e l o c a l v i b r a t i o n s o f p o l a r i z a t i o n . The s p a t i a l s i z e o f t h e l o c a l s t a t e may be c o n s i d e r a b l y s m a l l e r t h a n t h e s i z e o f t h e d i p . The f r e q u e n c i e s o f l o c a l v i b r a t i o n s form an e q u i d i s t a n t s e t . The l o c a l resonances o f t h e second t y p e appear when s p a t i a l d i s p e r s i o n i n t h e f i l m i s taken i n t o account. The f r e q u e n c i e s o f these l o c a l resonances depend on t h e f i l m p r o f i l e f u n c t i o n and f o r m an e q u i d i s t a n t s e t i f t h e r e i s a bump i n t h e f i l m w i t h Gauss p r o f i l e f u n c t i o n .
The i n v e s t i g a t i o n o f p r e d i c t e d l o c a l resonances seerns t o be i m p o r t a n t f o r t h e s t u d y o f s u r f a c e o p t i c a l phenomena.
