The h y b r i d system c o n s i s t i n g of t h r e e c o i l s : i n n e r - s t e e l c o i l , middle-beryllium-cooper c o i l , and o u t e r -cooper c o i l , s e p a r a t e l y s u p p l i e d by t h r e e c a p a c i t o r b a n k s ,i s d e s c r i b e d . The h y b r i d s y s t e m p r o d u c e s a megagauss p u l s e d f i e l d i n t h e volume of t h e 6 mm i n n e r d i a m e t e r 11 t u r n s s t e e l c o i l . The d u r a t i o n of t h e peak f i e l d i s of t h e o r d e r of 2 0 p s .
The f i e l d r a n g e above 5 0 T i s r e l a t e d t o p u l s e d f i e l d o f s h o r t d u r a t i o n and i t i s v e r y d i f f i c u l t t o p r o d u c e m a g n e t i c f i e l d h i g h e r t h a n 70-80 T i n a n o n - d e s t r u c t i v e manner

The m a g n e t i c f i e l d s above 1 0 0 T a r e c a l l e d u l t r a s t r o n g f i e l d s and d i f f e r e n t t e c h n i - q u e s a r e p r e s e n t l y known t o g e n e r a t e m a g n e t i c f i e l d s of t h i s o r d e r of i n t e n s i t y [2]. I n t h i s p a p e r t h e h y b r i d system c o n s i s t i n g of t h r e e c o a x L a l c o i l s - 1 1 t u r n s s t e e l c o i l ( I ) , 1 5 t u r n s b e r y l l i u m -cooper c o i l ( I 1 ) and 1 5 t u r n s c o o p e r c o i l (1111 i s d i s c u s s e d . I t i s e v i d e n t from t h e o s c i l l o g r a m s i n F i g s . 3 which show t h e t i m e dependent f i e l d i n t e n s i t y g e n e r a t e d i n c o i l I, I 1 and 111 f o r t h r e e d i f f e r e n t energy o f t h e s u p p l y i n g c a p a c i t o r bank charged t o 250 V, 500 V and 750 V, r e s p e c t i v e l y . The h i g h e s t t o t a l energy we charged t h e banks i n t h e experiment performed was 60 k J w i t h t h e g e n e r a t i o n o f t h e magnetic f i e l d i n t e n s i t y o f 9 2 T.
