Abstract - Radioactive 129m~e was implanted in 6 different transition metals (V, Pe,
W, Au, Pt, PS) and internal conversion electron spectra as well as Mossbauer spectra of the daughter nucleus 1 2 9 ~ were measured. A value b4r2> = 0.018 (4) frn 2 (COP
responding to AR/R = + 4.1(10) x lo-') was derived for the change of the mean square charge radius during the 27.8 keV transition in 129~. The consequences of this measu- rement for the calibration constants of the Mgssbauer isomer shift of other isotopes of the 5sp-elements are discussed. A paper about this work is in progress of publica- tion /1/.
