Global Warming

Global warming is when the earth heats up, that is; the temperature rises. It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth and plants.

Many cannot take the change, so they die.

What is the greenhouse effect?

The gree house effe t is whe the te perature rises e ause the su ’s heat and light is trapped i the earth’s at osphere. This is like when heat is trapped in a car. On a very hot day, the car gets hotter when it is out in the parking place. This is because the heat and light from the sun can get into the car, by goi g through the wi dows, ut it a ’t get a k out. This is what the

greenhouse effect does to the earth. The heat and light can get through the atmosphere, ut it a ’t get out. As a result, the te perature rises.

We are all personally responsible for releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels for transportation (driving and flying) and home energy (electricity, heating and cooling). This leads to global warming, which is destroyi g Earth’s iodi ersity a d ati e e osyste .
