Dans ce chapitre, nous avons étudié la dynamique d’une bulle créée lors d’une décharge électrique entre une électrode pointe et une électrode plan. Bien que la bulle ne soit pas sphérique, nous avons pu démontrer que les modèles décrivant la dynamique d’une bulle sphérique (modèles de Rayleigh-Plesset et de Gilmore) pouvaient être utilisés. Nous avons utilisé cette approche de modélisation pour remonter à quelques propriétés de la décharge aux premiers instants, lesquels ne sont pas accessibles expérimentalement avec les moyens dont nous disposons. Ainsi, la vitesse d’ouverture du canal et la pression du canal à t ~ 0 ont-elles pu être estimées avec précision. Dans une seconde partie, nous avons utilisé la possibilité de créer deux décharges successives. La première décharge crée une bulle dite ‘bulle test’ et la deuxième crée une nouvelle bulle dite ‘bulle plasma’ qui interagit acoustiquement avec la bulle test. La modélisation de cette dernière, en tenant compte de la présence de la paroi, nous a permis de mieux discriminer entre elles les différentes valeurs de la pression initiale qui conduisent à des solutions identiques au-delà d’une microseconde. Nous déduisons alors que, dans nos conditions de claquage, la pression initiale est de l’ordre de quelques dizaines voire quelques centaines de bar uniquement.
