Chères et chers collègues,
Au nom du Conseil d’Administration de la SFSM, je vous présente mes meilleurs vœux pour l’année 2010, à tous les niveaux, aussi bien professionnel que personnel.
Souhaitons aussi que la SFSM, en association avec d’autres Sociétés française et européennes, continue à contribuer à l’essor de la spectrométrie de masse, aidant ainsi nos Jeunes à réaliser leurs projets, aussi bien dans le secteur public que privé.
Comme chaque année, la SFSM va renouveler une partie de son Conseil d’Administration. Pascale Richardin, Jocelyn Dupuis et moi-même ayant été élus en 2007, notre mandat va arriver à son terme cette année. Vous trouverez dans cette lettre le formulaire d’appel à candidature. Les quatre thématiques définies lors de l’Assemblée Générale de septembre 2008 étant encore représentées par au moins un membre restant au CA, nous gardons à nouveau cette année une grande souplesse pour les thématiques des candidats. J’espère ainsi que vous serez nombreux à proposer votre candidature à l’implication active dans notre Société, comme vous l’avez été l’année dernière.
Au cours de l’année 2009, la SFSM s’est impliquée dans un certain nombre de manifestations qui ont été des succès, en association avec la SFEAP : la Journée Scientifique du 9 mars à Paris sur l’analyse de complexes protéiques et le congrès SMAP à Dijon, du 14 au 17 septembre. Merci encore aux organisateurs qui ont largement contribué à ces succès.
Cette année, la Journée Scientifique commune avec la SFEAP aura lieu le 5 mars, toujours à l’ESPCI à Paris et aura pour thème « Apports de la FT en protéomique ». Notre congrès annuel (27èmes JFSM) aura lieu à Clermont-Ferrand. Nous espérons vous voir nombreux à ces manifestations pour lesquelles vous recevrez des détails très prochainement.
Les Jeunes ne sont pas en reste, avec l’organisation des XIVèmes Journées du CJSM couplées à l’Ecole de Printemps qui ont eu lieu à Borzee, en Belgique.
Nous sommes persuadés que le succès qu’ils ont rencontré se renouvellera pour les XVèmes Journées qui auront lieu cette année à Gap (Hautes- Alpes) du 26 au 30 avril.
Outre les possibilités de bourses offertes aux Jeunes pour participer à des congrès, que les jeunes docteurs n’oublient pas aussi de postuler au prix de la SFSM. Les modalités et la date limite sont indiquées dans cette lettre.

Le prix de la SFSM est d'un montant de 1 250 €. Il est destiné à récompenser annuellement un jeune chercheur de moins de 35 ans, ayant au moins trois ans d'expérience dans un laboratoire industriel ou universitaire francophone et dont les travaux en recherche fondamentale ou appliquée ont favorisé le développement de la spectrométrie de masse (travaux de thèse ou ensemble de travaux post-doctoraux).
Le prix 2010 de la SFSM sera remis au cours de l'Assemblée Générale de la Société qui se tiendra dans le cadre des 27
èmesJFSM à Clermont-Ferrand (14-16 septembre 2010).
Les dossiers doivent être envoyés avant le 1
er mars 2010au secrétariat de la SFSM.
Chaque dossier doit comprendre, en deux exemplaires, un rapide curriculum vitae, un résumé de deux pages expliquant l'enchaînement des idées ayant guidé les recherches du candidat et l'avenir qu'il souhaite donner à ses travaux. Le dossier sera obligatoirement accompagné de la thèse et/ou des tirés à part des articles auxquels auront donné lieu les recherches du candidat. Le lauréat devra présenter une communication orale à notre Congrès de septembre prochain.
Comme les années précédentes, la SFSM souhaite accorder des aides financières :
