Public Consultation

Draft By-laws P-06-45 and P-04-047-32

Amendment to the Urban Plan Borough of Ville-Marie

Construction of a residential building on two lots located between De Maisonneuve Boulevard and Mayor and De Bleury streets.

Draft By-law P-06-045, entitled “Règlement autorisant l’implantation d’un édifice résidentiel sur les lots 1 340 567 et 1 340 568 du cadastre du Québec qui forment la partie est de l’îlot délimité par le boulevard De Maisonneuve et les rues De Bleury, Mayor et City Councillors,” and draft By-law P-04-047-32, entitled

“Règlement modifiant le Plan d’urbanisme de la Ville de Montréal,” were adopted by city council at its meeting on October 30, 2006.

The Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) will hold a consultation on these draft by-laws and is making relevant documentation available to the public.

PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTATION

Adoption of a draft by-law pursuant to section 89 of the Charter of Ville de Montréal

Draft By-law P-06-045 aims to allow the implementation of a residential and commercial building on the territory of application of the by-law.

The draft by-law provides stipulations pertaining to height, volume, implementation as well as planning, design, and architecture.

Draft By-law P-06-045 derogates from certain provisions of the planning by-law of the borough of Ville- Marie and is not subject to approval by referendum.

Amendment to the Urban Plan

Draft By-law P-04-047-32 amends the Urban Plan of the City of Montréal. It modifies the map “Les limites de hauteur” of this plan by the creation of a new sector designated for a maximum height of 120 meters within the territory bounded on the North by De Maisonneuve boulevard, on the East by De Bleury street and on the South by Mayor street.

The second part of the consultation, devoted to hearing those wishing to express their views on the projects, will begin on December 12, at 7:00 p.m., at the Office de consultation publique de Montréal at the above mentioned address.
