Public Consultation

Draft By-law P-08-012

Expansion of the Montréal General Hospital building located at 1650 Cedar Avenue to accommodate the McGill University Health Centre

Draft By-law P-08-012, entitled “Règlement autorisant l’agrandissement de l’Hôpital général de Montréal (CUSM),” was adopted by city council at its meeting on March 31, 2008.

The Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) will hold a consultation on this draft by-law and make relevant documentation available to the public.

PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTATION

Adoption of a draft by-law pursuant to section 89 of the Charter of Ville de Montréal

Draft By-law P-08-012 provides for a variance to sections 10, 61, 583 and 605 of the urban planning by- law of the borough of Ville-Marie (01-282) with respect to maximum heights, land coverage and volumes.

As the project is located within the boundaries of the historical and natural borough of Mont Royal, it is subject to approval by referendum.

The draft by-law also contains provisions concerning access, parking, landscaping, archaeology, planning, architecture and design.
