P. MOTOR CW Output | High This signal, when at High level, causes the phono motor to rotate clockwise.
P. MOTOR CCW Output | High This signal, when at High level, causes the phono motor to rotate counterclockwise.

8 RESET Input Low When this signal is at Low level, the microcomputer is reset; once reset, the microcomputer keeps on its standby state for 0.5 second during which alt the functions of the set are stopped.
0.5 second thereafter, the microcomputer judges whether or not the tonearm is present at its rest position; if not, the microcomputer causes the tonearm to return to the rest position, and the set gets ready to wait further key operation.

9 SOLENOIDE Output | High This signal becomes Low level when the tonearm is in up position, and it becomes High level when in down position.
10 ARM FWD Output | Low This signal, when at Low level, causes the tonearm motor to rotate clockwise.
11 ARM REV Output | Low This signal, when at Low level, causes the tonearm motor to rotate counterclockwise, When pins 40) and ay of 1C801 are at High level, the tonearm motor is kept in stop.
When these pins become Low level, IC802 turns on to allow the tonearm to begin moving on the disc.
And when the tonearm is moving, if the tonearm forward or reverse key is pushed, the tonearm motor turns on and the following pulse is generated for about 0.8 second.

REPLACEMENT OF PHONO MOTORS
There are four kinds of phono motors and they can be identified by the marks (no mark, red, black, blue) given at their bottoms.
When replacing the existing phono motor with the new one, it is needed to cut off one of the four resistors (R861, R862, R863, R864) on the microcomputer PWB of the player, and the resistor to be cut off must have the same mark as that given for the new phono motor. After the replacement, it is further needed to add to the micro- computer PWB the same type of resistor as that which had been removed when the existing phono motor was used.
