Abstract

This study aimed at examining the relationship between internet addiction and sense of

loneliness among a sample of students enrolled in secondary school ben masrouk mohamed

and gender differences in Internet addiction and loneliness,and the differences in Internet

addiction and loneliness which attributed to the cultural level of the parents.

The study sample consisted of (69) students (33) males and (36) females from secondary

school Ibrahim ibnAlaghlabEltamimi. Two scales were used: the sense of loneliness scale and

Internet addiction scale.

The study revealed the following results:

There is non-statistically significant relationship between Internet addiction and loneliness.

There is No differences between males and females in the degree of Internet addiction.

There is No differences between males and females in the degree of loneliness.

There is No differences in Internet addiction attributed to the cultural level of the parents.

There is a differences in loneliness attributed to the cultural level of the parents for the

benefit of mothers with the highest level than baccalaureate
