Do more, Be more, Become a Knight!
As Catholic men, we are called to do more. The Knights of Columbus can help you answer that call. Your membership connects you with opportunities to make an impact in your community and gives you access to resources to help you grow deeper in faith and stay in- formed about the issues Catholics care about. You'll also have exclu- sive access insurance and financial planning products to help you protect your family.
Since 1882, membership in the Knights of Columbus has been open to men 18 years of age or older who are "practical" (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. Since that time, the Knights of Columbus has understood "practical catholic" to mean a Catholic who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.
Go to KofC.org, and click on “Join Us”. Read over the material and then click on “Join” or “Join Today”! After filling out the short applica- tion, a District Deputy will call you to confirm some details.
There is a local Degree Ceremony on April 1, 2019 so you can join and hit the ground running. Butler County is blessed with several ac- tive councils that you can select to join based on
your preferences. The journey starts at KofC.org.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL NEWS
The students have completed IOWA and COGAT testing. We are very proud of all of the students for doing their best on the test!
The Mother-Son event is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be held at U.S. Bank Arena. The mothers and sons will line the ice to welcome the Cincinnati Cyclones before the game
starts. Tickets are still available. Tickets are $11 per ticket + a $5 food/beverage voucher. Please contact the school office if you are interested in attending the event.
The class in the spotlight is the 6th grade class:
The sixth grade has been busy with finishing their T-Shirt pillows. Many generous people donated T-Shirts and sweatshirts. We cut them using a pattern and added black binding. The class hand stitched the binding to the back of the pillow. We will have 19 pillows available for raffle at the Fish Fry. All the proceeds will go to pay for the buses to attend the Bradford Place. The sixth grade class has adopted grandparents at the Brad- ford Place, and we attend 3x during the school year to visit with them. We are finishing a novel, The Dark Is Rising. The story is about a boy, Will, who discovers an astounding gift- he is the last of the Old Ones. He is on a quest for the six magical Signs, and he will be in a battle between the Light and Dark. In Social Studies, they have been traveling to different cultures such as: Rome, Greece, and the Middle Ages. During Technolo- gy class, they created slides about a landmark in Washington, D.C. to prepare for their Washington DC trip which will take place on March 20-22. They are very excited for this trip!
~Ms. Getz
Many thanks to the parish for all of your support during this school year!

Vacation Bible School 2019 It’s time to start thinking about summer!
Planning for the St. Ann & Sacred Heart Vacation Bible School 2019 has begun. The dates of VBS will be July 8th - 11th.
As always, we are looking for Adult Volunteers to help plan and run the program. Tasks range from helping daily with VBS stations to shopping for supplies in advance. Any and all help is welcome.
Please contact us by Friday, April 26th if you would like to be a part of this group. Brief meetings will be held in advance for those who would like to be involved with planning the program.
All adults volunteers must be VIRTUS trained before interacting with any children at VBS. For information on how to become
VIRTUS trained, please contact either Marianne Fleckenstien at Sa- cred Heart or John Keller at St. Ann for more information.
Information coming soon regarding registration for teen volunteers.
If you would like to support VBS through a monetary donation to offset the cost for supplies, t-shirts, and snacks, please contact us or call the parish office.
Sincerely,
Megan & Joey Wolf [email protected] (513)390-0025

Cincinnati Catholic Men’s Conference:
ATTENTION men, fathers and sons! The Cincinnati Catholic Men’s Conference is Saturday, June 15th, 2019 at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish. Get your ticket today for A Faith-filled half-day where men from all over the tri-state will enjoy Catholic inspiration and spiritual growth. Speakers include Super Bowl Champ Matt Birk, Cooking Priest, Fr. Leo Patalinghug and New York Mets coach, Rich Donnel- ly. Get complete information on the conference and purchase tickets at www.CincinnatiMensConference.com.
Speaker Spotlight: Fr. Leo Patalinghug, founder of Plating Grace and winner of the Food Network show “Throw Down with Bobby Flay”, where he defeated the world-famous chef in a cook-off. No one says family time like Father Leo! What are you hungry for?! Fr. Leo is the host and founder of Plating Grace, an apostolate to strengthen families and communities around the dinner table. His unique back- ground as a two-time black belt martial arts instructor and choreogra- pher for an award-winning break-dancing group has caught the atten- tion of many media and entertainment outlets, from ABC, PBS, NBC, FOX, the Cooking Channel, and also the Food Network where Fr.
Leo defeated the world-famous chef in a competition called, “Throw Down with Bobby Flay!”
Fr. Leo will refresh all of us on the importance of sharing meals to- gether and eating as a family. He currently resides in Baltimore and is the host of a weekly international TV show, "Savoring Our Faith" on EWTN.
