Preface

The Tenth Spring Researchers Colloquium on Databases and Information Systems 2014 SYRCoDIS is an annual colloquium directed towards researchers specializing in the area of databases and information systems. The goal of the colloquium is to help young researchers to get familiar with the work of their colleagues, to exchange experiences and to practice delivering presentations at international conferences.

SYRCoDIS is a major annual event of the Russian research community in the database and information systems fields. SYRCoDIS is thought as a forum to meet, discuss and exchange experiences among all those, both in academia and industry, who are interested in data science and its broad range of applications. The program of the colloquium is formed through a rigorous review process of submitted papers in fields of database and information systems such as XML databases, information retrieval and data mining, query processing, natural language processing applications, etc..

SYRCoDIS 2014 was held in Veliky Novgorod. Previous SYRCoDIS colloquiums were held in Saint Petersburg (2004, 2005, 2008, and 2009), Moscow (2006, 2007, 2011, 2012) and Kazan (2013). The Web sites of SYRCoDIS colloquiums can be found at http://syrcodis.ispras.ru/
