7.4 Conclusion

Pour conclure, nos travaux ont montré que 6 et 12 mois suivant une DBP-CD, la perte de poids et la diminution de l’IMC étaient semblable chez les hommes et femmes. Quant à la composition corporelle, la diminution de la masse grasse était en faveur des hommes et celle de la masse maigre était significativement plus élevée chez les femmes. Les hommes bénéficient d’une plus grande réduction du tissu adipeux ectopique, dans la région abdominale comme dans la région glutéo-fémorale, à 6 mois comme à 12 mois après une DBP-CD. D’autres études seront nécessaires afin d’évaluer cette différence entre les hommes et les femmes sur la perte de poids et la mobilisation du tissu adipeux.
