THE CHANGING COURSE OF TUDOR ENGLAND
In the 16th century, the European world expanded with the discovery of new territories and the setting up of new colonies. The invention of the printing press widely helped to spread new ways of thinking and, within a context of Church abuses, finally led to the Lutheran Reformation. In England, Tudor rulers Henry VIII (1509-1547) and Elizabeth I (1558-1603) wanted to govern as absolute monarch. They also brought great changes to the religious life of the country.

You are going to investigate the reign of one of the most famous English kings in history- Henry VIII (1509-47).
1) Read or/and observe documents A, B, C, D, F (Next pages) and G (blog)
