Role play

• General objective:

A group of students (2) represents a firm

The firm presents her CSR strategy

The other group (2) represents the stakeholders

The stakeholders defend their point of view

At the end of the game, students vote for the most convincing group

Group firm (2 students)

• Preparation of a sustainable development report (following guidelines)

• Research work on CSR strategy, and synthesis of existing extra- financial reports

• Research and anticipation of the stakeholders’ claim

• Preparation of answers to potential questions / claims

Group Stakeholders (2 students)

• Mapping of relevant stakeholders

• Selection of the two most relevant stakeholders

• Research work on claims / Critics of stakeholders

• Preparation of detailed arguments towards firms

Speech can be more or less critical depending on the strategy of the specific stakeholder

• Anticipation of anwers / arguments from the firm

• Choice of action tools

Proceeding of the game

• Presentation of the sustainable development report (10 minutes)

• Arguments of each stakeholders (5 minutes each = 10 minutes)

• Answer from the firm and actions taken (5 minutes)

• Answer stakeholders and actions (5 minutes)

• Debriefing and vote

Process

• 1. Make groups (2x2), if possible mix btw EADL and STEDE

• 2. Choice of the firm

• 3. Choose a slot and propose name of the firm
