The areas where failure was visible are given below together with a brief description of the failure.
(1) Flaking of paint in linen ·cupboard. Some plaster (white coat) also flaked off.
(2) Entire coat (base coat and finish) bulged outwards, the white coat having fallen off over a large area. Other bulges and cracks in the plaster without falling were visible.
( 3) As in (2).

Blistering paint.(5)
Slight salt deposit or efflorescence.(6)
Marked flaking of paint. (7) Flaking of paint,_(8)
Flaking paint visible behind radiator in liVing room, throughout in bathroom.(9)
Beside the radiator, bulging out (very marked) of the plaster and flaking of the paint was visible.(10) Looseness and efflorescence.
In no case was the failure more than
