- As soon as the inventory level at the main Sandoz warehouse is less than a pre-determined threshold, the status changes to BO and the product is removed from allocation (OA). There may still be inventory left in some warehouses, in which case customers will be able to order the remaining quantities until depletion at their purchase point.

- The projected return date for suspended products is indicated in the "Expected release"column.

Possible discrepancies between this report and quantities shipped to customers

Suspended or discontinued products. Products that are suspended or discontinued ("S" and "D" status) which are on BO are removed from the allocation tables.

Discrepancies may occur between the product status (ex: AV, BO) and allocation rate indicated on this report and actual quantities shipped. For example:

- Some products on short-term BO continue to appear on the allocation tables (as described above).

- Disruptions in the replenishment of the distribution centers may cause delays in having product available in time for the allocation cycles. Customers are encouraged to order the product again.

Where no alternative exists. Products in production ("P" status) which are on short-term BO and for which an alternate product has NOT been identified are included in the allocation tables and continue to show quantities which can be ordered. Their inclusion is necessary to allow customers to order the product as soon as it becomes available again without having to wait for the following allocation cycle.
