Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics is pleased to an-nounce the launch of its new electronic manuscript submission and tracking system [http://www.editorial-manager.com/arch]. The system will go live on 23 Jan-uary 2006, and we hope that authors will submit manuscripts via this route. Archives of Gynecology and Obstetricswill continue to accept hard copy manuscript submissions until 31 May 2006, and these should be addressed to the Coordinating Editor. After 1 June 2006, Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics will only accept online submissions. The new Editorial Manager System is fast, efficient and provides step-by-step instructions on how to submit your paper. The online submission and editorial manager system provides the following notable benefits:
Easily accessible anywhere in the world
You can login to submit your paper or revisions wherever you have access to the Internet.
Disks and hard copies are no longer required
Online submission provides automatic conversion of source files to one PDF file—a stable document that is guaranteed to look the same on any computer worldwide.
Speeds up the peer-review and publication process
Provides online submission for authors, which in turn provide a faster, more efficient seamless link from sub-mission through the editorial and peer review process, right through to publication.
Your data is secure
Data is held on our secure, central servers that are regularly backed up, so there is no need to worry about loss of data.
It saves you money
No need for expensive priority mail charges. The submission system is instantaneous, with the Coordi-nating Editor receiving your submission as soon as you upload and verify the submission.
For further information, and to submit your paper online, visit the Springer homepage: [http://www.sprin-ger.com] and follow the link for Online submission. If you have not submitted online before, you will be re-quired to register first. If you are a returning author, simply login and begin your submission.
My thanks in anticipation of receiving your work online!
