1. NOTES the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on the development of arid zones ;1 3 2. PLEDGES its support to UNESCO in this field ;

3. EMPHASIZES the importance of early planning of programmes to prevent the introduction or aggravation of disease hazards caused by the development of such zones ;

4. CALLS the attention of the Fourth World Health Assembly to this problem.
