Rooted in her practice as a printmaker, Montreal-based artist Dominique Petrin creates immersive, highly graphic installations. You won't solve the problem with an air fresheneris unique to the gallery architecture, comprised of hundreds of prints applied directly onto surfaces. Freely inspired by the history of ornamentation and pixelated digital aesthetics, Petrin's installations are riotous in execution, creating an environment both vibrant and unsettling.
Petrin's artist talk is presented in partnership with the Audain Faculty of Art's Visual Art Forums at Emily Carr University.
