L’Université Catholique de Lille is France’s number one private university, in terms of student numbers (25,500) and the excel- lence of its courses.

It is run on a non-proﬁ t basis with a public service mission, and offers 170 study programmes. It is a multidisciplinary univer- sity, with a number of renowned research teams, ﬁ rmly committed to its Euro-regional environment, and a university whose top priorities are a human education and the international dimension.

A university open to Europe and the world

L’Université Catholique de Lille makes international and intercultural educa- tion one of its priorities, to promote international openness among its students.

The university has signed cooperation a greements with 405 partner universities throughout the world; each year over 4,000 students go to study or complete a work placement abroad, while it welcomes 2,600 students from 120 countries, half of them on exchange programmes. In June and July every year since 2001, it has organised a European Summer Programme, which grows more successful with every passing year and, in July, a Trans-Atlantic Trans- Atlantic Summer School with the Mississipi College School of Law in international business Law.

L’Université Catholique de Lille fait de l’édu- cation internationale et interculturelle une de ses priorités, afi n de favoriser l’ouverture internationale des étudiants.

L’université a établi des accords de coopération avec 405 universités partenaires de par le monde ; chaque année plus de 4.000 étudiants effectuent un séjour d’études ou un stage professionnel à l’étranger tandis que 2.600 étudiants de 120 pays sont accueillis, dont la moitié dans le cadre de programmes d’échanges.

Le job dating ou le seminaire « cœur de cible » : comment se préparer à l’entretien de recrutement ?

The principle is simple: to prepare students for the challenge of the individual job interview. In groups, they receive advice from recruitment specialists and take part in mock interviews at jobdating sessions, where the student has 20 minutes to persuade a recruitment professional to hire them.

Le principe est simple : préparer les étudiants à l’épreuve de l’entretien individuel de recrutement. Par groupe, ils reçoivent les conseils de spécialistes du recrute- ment et font des simulations lors de séances de jobdating où l’étudiant dispose de 20 minutes pour convaincre un professionnel du recrutement.

In autumn 2014, the Faculty of Law is turning a corner in terms of learning and teaching methods in the ﬁ eld of Law. This new way of teaching, which breaks away from traditional methods, puts the student at the centre of their own education so they can be a real stakeholder in the process. The new method will be implemented over the following academic years. Reﬂ ection, interactivity, analysis and practical application are the keywords of this new method.

À la rentrée 2014, la Faculté de Droit entame un nouveau tournant en termes de méthodes d’apprentissage et d’enseignement du Droit.

Cette pédagogie originale qui bouscule les schémas traditionnels place l’étudiant au cœur même de sa formation afi n qu’il en soit un véritable acteur. Celle-ci sera mise en place au fur et à mesure des années universitaires. La réfl exion, l’interactivité, l’esprit d’analyse et la mise en pratique sont les maîtres-mots de cette nouvelle méthode.

IELS The International and European

Law School (IELS) is a department of the Faculty encompassing all teaching and research activities oriented towards international law, European law and comparative law, in several languages, on the two Campuses of Lille and Paris.

This department is remarkable for its

multilingual and multicultural nature

, and its innovative, interactive and practical teaching style. The teaching staff is made up of

teachers and practitioners from all over the world

, who teach students with different ways of thinking and constructing their legal reasoning. The aim is to create legal practitioners who are

«stakeholders» in their education, not just passive recipients of learning, and who are able to export their skills, making their academic and professional mobility a real asset.

L’International and European Law School (IELS) est un département de la Faculté regroupant la totalité des activités d’enseignement et de recherche orientées vers le droit inter- national, le droit européen et le droit comparé et ce en plusieurs langues sur les deux Campus de Lille et Paris.

Ce département se distingue par son caractère multilingue et multiculturel et par le caractère innovant, interactif et pratique des enseignements. Le corps professoral est composé d’enseignants et praticiens venant du monde entier confrontant nos étudiants à d’autres modes de pensée et de construction du raisonne- ment juridique. La volonté est de créer des juristes « acteurs » de leur formation, et non passifs dans l’apprentissage, capables de s’exporter, faisant de leur mobilité étudiante et professionnelle un véritable atout.

Un département international de recherche juridique au sein du C3RD

Le C3RD, centre de recherche de la Faculté de Droit, structure la recherche autour de deux grands axes que sont les risques du droit et la gestion du risque par le droit.

Ses 33 enseignants-chercheurs contri- buent à l’élaboration d’une théorie juridique du risque et collaborent avec les labora- toires de recherche et les entreprises situés en France et à l’international, intégrant la thématique du risque dans leurs champs d’études.

Le département droit international et euro péen a développé différents axes de recherche qui correspondent aux parcours (Licences/Masters) proposés par l’IELS :

An international legal research department within the C3RD

The C3RD, the Faculty of Law’s research centre, divides its research into two main areas:

risk in law and risk management through law.

OBJECTIFS

Ce master est une formation bilingue consacrée à l’étude du fonctionnement de la société internationale.

Son objectif est de former des juristes ayant une véritable conscience des enjeux juridiques et géostratégiques dans les domaines des droits de l’Homme, de la sécurité et du développement.

Préparer les étudiants à intégrer le monde des organisations internationales, des institutions nationales spécialisées, des ONG ou encore des cabinets d’envergure internationale engagés dans les contentieux y afférant.
