Un élève appliqué

L’école ne tarda pas à devenir la plus grande distraction de la vie de Yuan, car il aimait vraiment l’étude. Il acheta une grande pile de nouveaux livres. Tous ces livres étaient un enchantement pour notre écolier. Il tournait avec avidité leurs pages propres et inconnues, et il désirait ardemment imprimer chaque mot dans sa mémoire et étudier, étudier encore pour l’amour de l’étude.

Il se levait à l’aube. Aussitôt éveillé, il se jetait sur ses livres, apprenait par cœur les choses qu’il ne comprenait pas, des pages entières qu’il fixait dans sa mémoire. A l’école, il était toujours le premier à entrer dans la salle de classe.
