AFR/RC4/R14: Collaboration with bilateral and multilateral programmes The Regional Committee,

1. TAKES NOTE of document AFR/RC4/4 concerning the possibility of closer collaboration between the Regional Office for Africa of the World Health Organization and the Commission for Technical Co-operation in Africa South of the Sahara (CCTA);

2. AGREES with conclusions contained therein;

3. EMPHASIZES the desirability of avoiding duplication or overlapping of efforts;

4. RECOMMENDS that the Regional Director, among the possibilities of co-operation which may occur, study in particular the following points with the Secretary-General of the CCTA:

(a) joint organization of seminars and conferences;

(b) organization of joint investigations in the field of health;

(c) allocation of responsibility in the field of inter-country health projects.
