international workshop on current trends in Databases, Information Retrieval, Specifications and Object Oriented Programming, was held on 15th–17th April 2009 in Špindlerův Mlýn – Patejdlova bouda, Czech Republic. The DATESO workshops aim for strengthening connections between these areas of Computer Science. The volume contains 14 full papers.
