Internship R&D « Development of virtual environment and gameplay for

formation flight with UAV (Unity3D / C#) »

We study attentional orienting to improve safety and enhance performance for aerospace operations. Innovation Defense Lab funds research at ISAE-SUPAERO to better understand the deployment of attention in 360° environments, the impact of operators’ position and body orientation, and the possibility of training to enhance the attentional capabilities. To that end, the project requires to develop a new virtual simulator of formation flight (a fighter on a mission with UAVs) compatible with motion platform and virtual reality.

The intern will design and implement a virtual environment and gameplay (according to an established scenario) of a simulator that includes tasks of flight, navigation, and communication of an aircraft with UAVs. The development will be done in the Unity 3D environment. It will be deployed on a 6DoF motion platform with virtual reality HMD.

Duration: 5-6 months

Requirements: C#, experience in Unity 3D, VR/Gaming experience, notions of 3D modeling will be appreciated
