Presentations in conferences
15 – 16 March 2013: Claudio Bolzman did a presentation entitled “Forms of mobility among older migrants” in the international conference “Ageing Migrants: (Im)mobilities of the Ageing”, New University of Lisbon, Portugal.
11 April 2013: Claudio Bolzman did a Conference entitled “Migration and Ageing: Life Course and Mobility issues in a Sociological Perspective” for the Doctoral Students at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Calabria.
14 June 2013: Claudio Bolzman did a presentation entitled «Vulnérabilité et résilience au cours de la vie: le cas des personnes âgées immigrées » in the National Seminar, « Recherche en santé. Perspectives des sciences sociales », University of Bern, Académie suisse des sciences humaines et sociales.
26 – 27 August 2013: Oana Ciobanu did a presentation entitled “The role of the churches for Romanian ageing migrants in Switzerland” in the Annual Conference of the Excellence network IMISCOE (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion), Malmö University, Sweden.
Forthcoming 15 – 17 April 2014, Oana Ciobanu and Claudio Bolzman will do a presentation on “Romanian ageing migrants going native in Switzerland” at the 4th European Conference for Social Work Research “Private troubles or public issues? Challenges for social work research”, Free University of Bozen – Bolzano and European Academy Bozen – Bolzano.
Organising conferences and workshops
15 – 16 March 2013: Oana Ciobanu and Alistair Hunter (University of St. Andrews) organised an international conference on “Ageing Migrants: (Im)mobilities of the Ageing” at the New University of Lisbon, Portugal.
26 – 27 August 2013: Oana Ciobanu organised two workshops in the Annual Conference of the Excellence network IMISCOE, Malmö University, Sweden. One session was organised together with Tineke Fokkema on “Vulnerabilities and Coping Strategies of Ageing

Migrants”, and another session with Mihaela Nedelcu on “Care for and Care by Ageing Migrants”.
Forthcoming 15 – 17 April 2014, Claudio Bolzman, Ruxandra Oana Ciobanu and Ute Karl (University of Luxembourg) are planning to organise a special interest group on “Ageing, migration and care – Social Work Research perspectives” at the 4th European Conference for Social Work Research “Private troubles or public issues? Challenges for social work research”, Free University of Bozen – Bolzano and European Academy Bozen – Bolzano.
