In accordance with Articles (11,12) of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Cultural Relations Directorate under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, hereby certifies that the element of the Arabic Calligraphy : Skills, Knowledge and Practices is included in the annexed National List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Iraq under No. ( 26 }.

This List has been prepared with an extensive participation of the concerned community members, groups of both public and private sectors and the representatives of the relevant NGOs.

The Cultural Relations Directorate will keep conducting the work on future updating and managing the mentioned National List.
