In the definition of the Lewis number on page 4, left column, 5 lines before Eq. (5) in Ref.1, we noticed a mistake that we would like to amend.

The definition provided in the original paper states that the Lewis number Le is

Le = D/DT, (1)

where D is the mass diffusion coefficient and DTis the thermodiffusion coefficient.

The correct definition of the Lewis number is2–4

Le = D/κ, (2)

whereκ is the thermal diffusivity of the fluid mixture.

We would like to thank Oliver Lötgering, presently Ph.D. student at the University of Stuttgart for first pointing out the mistake.
