Brazil is situated in South America. It extends from North of Equator to the South of Capricorn. It is the largest country in South America. Occupying almost half of the continent, it covers an area of 8.547.404Sq Km and it has a population of 191.908.600 million inhabitants. The official language in Brazil is Portuguese and its currency is the real.

The most important cities in Brazil are Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador...but Brasilia is the capital city. Rio is the second largest city after Sao Paulo.
