WELCOME TO GENEVA

Dear colleagues and friends

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are delighted to welcome you all to the 47th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT). This is the first time that Geneva hosts the most important annual event of our discipline.

For this 47th meeting, the program will contain our traditional classical TIAFT topics and in addition, specialized sessions and workshops.

Beside the scientific program, we will offer you an interesting social program, which will leave you with good memories of Geneva: its majestic mountains and its enchanting lake.

We sincerely hope that our hard efforts will fulfil your expectations. We both, as well as all the Organizing Committee, welcome you in Geneva for a fruitful congress and we have no doubt that this meeting will also be the ideal place to make new contacts or simply to share same experiences.

Dear delegates

It is my pleasure to invite you all to Geneva to the 47th TIAFT annual meeting. Drs Christian Staub and Marc Augsburger and their scientific organising committee have put together a wonderful and exciting program in the best traditions of TIAFT. There are well over 250 presentations covering such areas as alcohol, drugs and driving, alternative matrices, chemometry and data treatment, clinical toxicology and TDM, drugs of abuse testing, doping analysis and post-mortem toxicology. The social program also looks exciting and I’m sure will make the most of the spectacular scenery so obvious in Switzerland and the wonderful hospitality of the Swiss.

I look forward to seeing you all and sharing with you the developments in analytical and forensic toxicology and once again celebrate our annual event in the best TIAFT tradition.
