Comment
In response to specific requests from the Government * of Mauritania and Somalia? their development plans &/
were analysed and observations were submitted-to them *■
for their consideration. Another request from Congo .
(Leopoldville) resulted in the formulation of an outline
development plan as a "basis for the country's first Five Year Development Plan3
Work will be continued during 19-65-1966 in consultation with the Department of Economic and Social Affairs at Headquarters, and the United nations specialized agencies#
In particular, there will be '-^--operation with UNESCO with respect to establishing educational units or
assisting in drawing up educational development .-plans in relation to over-all planning;
At its sixth session the Commission decided (resolution 105(71)) to establish a Conference of African Development
Planners, to act 'jLntej? .alia as a forum for exchange of information on'methods and techniques of development planning. The Conference hsld its first session at Dakar in November
