Changes to the Programme Budget for the Eastern Mediterranean for the Financial Period 1992-1993

(Agenda item 5)

1. The World Health Assembly (May 1991) approved a rate of exchange of 3.32 Egyptian pounds per US dollar, as compared with the rate of 2.59 used to cost the EMR budget when presented to RC37 in October 1990. This approval, together with· that of a minor costing adjustment, has resulted ln the EMR Programme Budget for 1992-1993 being finally calculated at US$73 550 000.
